Youtube Class
September 19, 2007
I just recently found out that my past post was completely blank. Kind of annoying, but o well… guess I’ll write it again. This link shows a college class learning about the ever popular website youtube. When i first watched this I couldn’t believe my eyes. An actual course giving credit, teaching kids about youtube and what people can do on the website. This idea of learning about a website shocked me also, I wondered what you could possibly learn about a website. The class involves kids making clips and posting them on youtube. Now if you ask most people I bet they wouldn’t think about getting credit for a class on youtube. Then again with today’s new technology there are many changes compared to what college used to be and what it is today. Writing this blog gets me points for class, also the chatzy chatroom is another new piece of technology. Now that i think aboout it, maybe this is the new way of life, or college. Maybe in the future kids will have class while sitting in their dorms. It makes me ask myself, is that the good life. Not having to move for class, is that really that fun. the answer is YEAH IT IS. I wouldn’t mind not having to move for class. Then again kids might get fatter as a result of less movement. There is a positive and a negative for all aspects of life. It makes you question the good life, are we experiencing it, or is the good life for future generations who will experience the new forms of technology that will be invented.
Maybe this is a “new” way of education/life, as you say. Of course, also as you allude to here, courses like this have come under attack by those who think it’s a joke. Here is a response to those critiques.
